Mario's Seawall Italian & Pizzeria - Authentic Italian Cuisine in Galveston, TX

We had a wonderful experience here. The food was excellent and the staff were warm and welcoming. Kallie, especially, gave us wonderful suggestions per our liking and we were not disappointed. Their tiramisu cake was cherry on the cake :)

What a great unexpected gem! Totally worth the 40 minute wait! Will be back when I come to Galveston. Kallie took great care of us and did not lead us astray with any recommendations. She was very personable and made the dinner so much fun! Great food and great service! Had the meatballs, seafood dip and garlic bread as appetizers. For the meal, we had the Seafarer Calzone, chicken bacon tortellini, seafood mixed grill and Viva Italy. Dessert of tiramisu and French vanilla gelato with a cup of coffee. I don’t think they would have a bad dish! We are one happy family!

Without a doubt the best Italian food I've had in a long time! Great food, atmosphere, and service. The meatballs are to die for and the Pizza is top notch. Our server, PJ was second to none and very knowledgeable about the restaurants history and the menu. Don't hesitate going, you won't regret it!

It has been several years since we visited Mario's Seawall Italian Restaurant and it did not disappoint. All our meals were delicious and the service was outstanding! We did go on a Saturday afternoon in December so it was not crowded and we were seated immediately. The last time we went was in April on a Saturday night and the wait was around 1 and a half hours, but the wait is worth it. I recommend either their catch of the day or the Fisherman Stew (which is what I ordered again). And you have to try their brown butter cake, which I did not get a picture of because there were forks in it as soon as it was sat down on the table.

Solid Italian fare. We had Nona's meatballs, which was a strong 4 with flaky, thin, crispy bread slices, fried calamari that tasted fresh and the batter was light and crispy. Both sauces could have been a little more interesting but it was standard marinara. For entrees, we had a hand tossed buffalo chicken pizza that was so soaked with cheese and buffalo sauce that the whole pizza was wet, soggy, salty, and dense, making it hard to eat. I ordered a seafood fettuccine that had fresh seafood.. but every bite I took had bits of crab shell that i had to pick from my mouth... it really took away from the enjoyment of the dish. The sauce was standard alfredo sauce... I ended up adding some ground pepper, parmesean, and a dash of chili flakes to give it some dimension. I was originally debating between the lobster fettuccine or the seafood but usually places with "lobster" give you microscopic flecks of it and another reviewer said it was more like a bisque so I went with seafood. Overall, it was good, fresh, standard Italian food. Could use some improvements to the pizza and fettuccine, but it was a decent meal with great service.

Awesome low-key atmosphere and amazing food! The cheese bread was phenomenal and my ravioli with meatballs couldn’t be beat! Great pieces! It felt like we were eating with family. And they have homemade gelato!

We ended up spending an extra night in Galveston after our cruise, due to weather. Found this place and it was AMAZING! Our waitress Kallie was so very nice! Will definitely come back if we are ever in the area again . The lasagna was so good, and the calzone as well. Huge portions.

We stopped here for Sicilian pizza and deserts! Did not disappoint! Pizza was amazing! We also had Chocolate cake and Tiramisu and both were wonderful!! Would definitely recommend! The location is great for watching the water while you dine as well!
